Learning to throw on the wheel

Passing on skills and knowledge has always been part of Pamela’s working life and now as a potter she is enjoying using her patient and considered teaching skills to give others the experience of making with clay. There is nothing virtual about being creative with clay. Experience the value in happy time spent in the ‘now’, forgetting the cares of the world and being physically connected to this actual ‘stuff of the earth’, while being guided to create a piece which you will be proud to use at home. Wheelthrown pottery sessions for beginners, short courses and one to one ‘top up your wheel throwing skills’ lessons take place in Nunnington throughout the year.

Nunnington

Option 1: a beginners taster throwing session for two people at £50 each (£100 total) I will fire and glaze two pieces of work each to be collected a few weeks later. This session can be  for up to 4 participants at £50 per person. All prep, tuition and materials provided. Bookable online. 10.30am-1.30pm
2 x £50 per person (£100 total)
3 x £50 per person (£150 total)
4 x £50 per person (£200 total)

Option 2: a beginners taster session for £60 is a 2 hr lesson for one person in throwing skills including two pieces of fired work to collect later.
This is a session like the one one above about having a go at throwing on the wheel, learning the basics and as above I give you plenty of knowledge, demos and clay in the session. Bookable online. 2-4pm

Cancellation policy: 50% of the total is payable if you have to cancel within 2 weeks of your chosen date. I will do my best to find a future date for you if you need to change your booking but again I politely ask for at least two weeks notice.

Option 3: a 2 hour lesson for £40 is a one to one 2 hr lesson for one person in throwing skills, not including work to take away. You can be a beginner (having previously taken a taster session with me) or sometimes people have already had lessons elsewhere and come to move forward with their skills/knowledge over a number of ongoing sessions.
